Welcome to Our Guild of Service!

The Guild of Service is a national voluntary developmental organization dedicated towards empowerment of marginalized women and children. Working more than four decades the Guild of Service has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and the Department of Public Information of the United Nations.

Through our various projects women and children affected by conflict situations and other unfortunate circumstances are empowered economically, politically and socially by giving them vocational training to build their capacities and make them self reliant so that they are rehabilitated completely.

The Guild of Service combines both grass root work experience with a visionary perspective to advocate for meaningful change in society. Through the endeavors of the Guild of Service and the networking of other NGOs many changes have been brought about in India vis a vis new gender sensitive laws, effective enforcement, and a slow but definite moving away from age old stereotypes regarding the role and contribution of women towards nation building.

Recent News:

Linda Mandrayar, producer of the film White Rainbow, is now accepting donations on behalf of the Guild of Service through her American non-profit organization titled "The White Rainbow Project". This means that Americans wishing to donate to the Guild of Service may now write off such donations as being tax-deductable.

White Rainbow is a highly acclaimed and award-winning film that was inspired by the plight of India's widows. The plot is also based on the work of Dr. Mohini Giri and The Guild of Service.
